I plan on turning off windows update once M$ starts pushing the cumulative updates to 7, and 8.1, in October 2016. I’m installing Linux Mint on my oldest laptop to do any secure online transactions with, while I’ll keep windows 7 for other stuff.

Linux Mint, and other full Linux distros, not locked to any closed crApp ecosystems will be what will have to replace windows 10, once windows 7, and 8.1 go EOL. Google’s ART is just a VM to simulate a universal phone VM, with that VM locked to Google’s walled garden, the same as M$’s UWP will become once M$ gets enough fools onto 10.

At least with a full Linux distro like Mint users can choose their own DEs and other downstream desktop applications while Android just imprisons the Linux Kernel to Google’s Android nefarious needs. UWP will take over from win32 and then everyone with 10 will become a universal windows peasant(UWP)! UWP is TIFKAM renamed all over again! So enjoy your crappy phone app style ecosystem. It looks like that individual enterprise version has all of the necessary functionality that windows 7 pro/ultimate offered with ways to turn off all the phone style app crap and only use the desktop application ecosystem.

So how about a review of that windows 10 enterprise version that individual users can rent for $7 bucks a month, and be sure to show the readers all the necessary tools/methods to turn off all the consumer crapware and spying that can be done with the enterprise version. Browsers need top level settings to only allow single image ads with no sound or video(that includes no video ad buffering that steals users’ data allotments)! And web page Z ordering enforced in the HTML# standards to not allow for any ads that cover any text! So web pages only have two Z levels, foreground for the text and background for the ads, with ads only able to be seen where there is no text displayed! The video ad industry needs to be taxed heavily and the money used to fund thorium based power plants. Any Google product is there for the ads and nothing else. I'm just speculating, though.Įdge means you are a windows 10(consumer version) user, so you like phone OSs on your PCs/Laptops! Browser features are mostly there to enable more intrusive ads and the HTML5 standard is compromised to serve the ad industry. With Firefox 49, VentureBeat is reporting that Mozilla is allowing a “small initial set of compatible add-ons” to be enabled alongside multi-process. As such, Mozilla is pulling access to a few APIs when multi-process is enabled. You can see how this could be a problem if, for instance, an add-on loops between tasks on both at the same time.
Under typical situations, JavaScript and other tasks that run in the page shouldn't affect the browser's interface. Typically, Firefox disables the feature with add-ons, because they are given the tools to make decoupling these two spaces… glitchy. T his version is expected to expand their multi-process support, which separates UI updates from site updates.

This might be temporary and/or happens with every Firefox for Android update I'm new to this platform. Also, for some reason, Firefox for Android doesn't want to update from within itself, but triggering an update from the Google Play store works.
While it was originally scheduled for last week, some last-minute issues preventing the software non-profit organization from releasing it until today.
